On this day we remember the victims who have been murdered resulting from domestic violence and to empower women, children, and men who have survived physical, emotional and mental abuse often-times by someone they once loved. “I am also a survivor of domestic violence,” says DA Price. “My office is committed to seeking justice on behalf of victims.” One of the first things District Attorney Pamela Price did after taking office is expand the DA’s Domestic Violence Unit, because she says, “in any given year my office is reviewing 5,000 domestic violence arrests.”…

Bail Set at $1.25 Million for Man Charged by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price for Drug Trafficking and Child Abuse Oakland, CA October 19, 2023 - Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price charged Alfredo Moranperez as a suspect for cocaine trafficking in Alameda County.   Based on the investigation by Alameda County Narcotic’s Task Force, Moranperez was charged with possession for sale of more than 10 kilos of cocaine, plus a special enhancement allegation and possession of a controlled substance with firearms present and child abuse for storing contraband in a room in close proximity to minor children. Moranperez was arrested October 12, 2023.  If convicted on all counts, he faces a state prison exposure of 24 years and 4 months. Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price Charges Man with Multiple Felonies for Domestic Violence Oakland CA. October 18, 2023 – Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price charged Jose Terra with six felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and corporal injury to a partner. Terra was also charged for violating a court order to keep away from the victim, a misdemeanor. Appropriate enhancements were also charged. If convicted on all charges, Jose Terra could serve eight years and eight months in prison. The investigation shows that on August 26, 2023, an in-person meeting between Terra and his estranged partner allegedly turned violent after he accused the victim of cheating on him. Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price Introduces Organized Retail Theft Vertical Prosecution Team DA Pamela Price Increases Funding for Retail Theft Prosecutions Oakland CA, October 12, 2023 – Today, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price will introduce her Organized Retail Theft Vertical Prosecution Team. In September, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office (ACDAO) was awarded a significant two million dollar grant to fund a new prosecution unit to address the growing issue of Organized Retail Theft (ORT) in the community. DA Price will make an exciting announcement at this introduction event. Alameda County is one of 13 district attorneys’ offices across California that received funding to establish new vertical prosecution units.
