The Alameda County District Attorney’s office continues to work collaboratively with law enforcement agencies, experts from various organizations, and public health officials to devise strategies to combat gun violence within the county.

In September, DA Price joined Prosecutors Against Gun Violence.

District Attorney Price testified before the California State Senate Committee on Public Safety in support of legislation designed to reduce the flow of guns into Alameda County. One of the bills, AB732, was signed into law on Sept. 26, 2023. This law strengthens the process of removing guns from individuals with a criminal conviction.
