September 25, 2024
OAKLAND, CA — Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announces charges against Brianna Mitchell (30) and Seghen Andebran (30) for allegedly stealing a victim’s purse from a Target store. Ms. Mitchell and Mr. Andebran are both charged with one count of felony theft from an elderly individual. The two defendants are also charged with a second count of felony grand theft of personal property, iPhone, credit cards, and cash exceeding a value of Nine Hundred Fifty Dollars ($950).
The criminal complaint states that on or about May 15, 2023, the victim arrived at an Albany Target store and placed their purse in a shopping cart. The complaint alleges that defendants Mitchell and Andebran allegedly stole the purse from the elderly victim who was shopping in the store.
“Taking advantage of the elderly will not be tolerated here in Alameda County,” said DA Price. “My office will hold those who prey on seniors accountable. No one, regardless of age, should have to worry about being a victim of having their purse stolen while shopping in this community.”
Brianna Mitchell and Seghen Andebran are scheduled to be arraigned on October 11, 2024, in Department 112 at Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.
