Oakland, CA — Today, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced that the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has filed felony charges against Shouyong Zhang (77) and Shili Chen (77) for the September 26, 2026, shooting death of Jonathan McKinsey (40) at a park in Dublin.
Both defendants have been charged with murder; personal use of a firearm causing death; and lying in wait, a special circumstance. If convicted, each defendant faces the possibility of life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Shouyong Zhang and Shili Chen are scheduled to be arraigned on September 30, 2026, in Department 702 of Alameda County Superior Court, East County Hall of Justice in Dublin, CA.
