Defendant Faces Over 130 Years-to-Life if Convicted January 23, 2025  Oakland, CA—The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has charged Tommy Ramsey (­­33) with a deadly shooting that killed two men during a child custody dispute in Oakland. The charges include enhancements for using a gun and a previous conviction. Mr. Ramsey is charged with one count of murder for the death of Jason Markel Wills and one count of murder for the death of Nathanuel Jamar Wills. David Misch Sentenced to 50 Years to Life in Prison for the Murders of Jennifer Duey and Michelle Xavier

January 22, 2025 OAKLAND, CA — Chief Assistant District Attorney Royl Roberts announces that David Misch (63) received two consecutive 25-year to life sentences for the murders of Jennifer Duey and Michelle Xavier in 1986.  On December 19, 2024, a jury found Mr. Misch guilty of one count of first-degree murder for killing Jennifer Duey, and one count of first-degree murder for killing Michelle Xavier. The naked bodies of both women were found in a remote area in Fremont on February 2, 1986. The evidence presented at the trial showed that DNA found under Jennifer Duey’s nails in 2001 belonged to Mr. Misch. In 2003, while serving a life sentence for a murder he committed in December of 1989, Mr. Misch claimed that he had seen the two young women being kidnapped at gunpoint and tried to save them. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office Charges Man with Carjacking and Injuring Woman with Her Own Vehicle

January 17, 2025 Dublin, CA—The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has charged George Green (21) in connection to carjacking and using the victim’s vehicle as a weapon by running her over and injuring the victim in a Fremont parking lot. Mr. Green is charged with one count of carjacking, a second count of assault with a deadly weapon, a third count of leaving the scene of an accident, a fourth count of unlawful driving or taking a vehicle, and a fifth count of receiving stolen property—all felonies. The criminal complaint alleges that on or about November 8, 2024, Mr. Green used force and fear to unlawfully take a motor vehicle that was in the possession of the victim against the victim’s will. January is National Human Trafficking Prevention Month January 16, 2025 Oakland, CA— Today, in recognition of January being National Human Trafficking Prevention Month, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office Human Exploitation Assistance and Response Team (H.E.A.R.T.) led a public awareness walk, community forum, and resource fair in the Little Saigon Neighborhood, bringing attention to the problem of human trafficking in the area. The first annual event, entitled “Breaking the Chains,” opened with a walk through the community, beginning at International Boulevard and 7th Avenue and continuing into the surrounding area.
