Bail Set at $1.25 Million for Man Charged by Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price for Drug Trafficking and Child Abuse

Oakland, CA October 19, 2023 – Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price charged Alfredo Moranperez as a suspect for cocaine trafficking in Alameda County.   Based on the investigation by Alameda County Narcotic’s Task Force, Moranperez was charged with possession for sale of more than 10 kilos of cocaine, plus a special enhancement allegation and possession of a controlled substance with firearms present and child abuse for storing contraband in a room in close proximity to minor children.

Moranperez was arrested October 12, 2023.  If convicted on all counts, he faces a state prison exposure of 24 years and 4 months.

Authorities executed a warrant at Moranperez’s residence where they found cocaine including organized kilo bricks, over $108,000 cash and two loaded firearms – a Glock-style “ghost gun” and a Glock 9 mm in close proximity to kilos of cocaine.

Moranperez was arraigned on the charges on October 17, 2023.  The People objected to Moranperez’s release on his own recognizance.  The Judge set schedule bail at $1, 250,000 at the request of the assigned Deputy District Attorney.  Moranperez’s next court date is set October 26, 2023.

Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price stated, “We do not tolerate illegal drug trade in Alameda County. We thank the Alameda County Narcotics Task Force authorities for their investigative work in this case.  Individuals who endanger society and, more egregiously, jeopardize the welfare of children, families and communities will face the full force of accountability.”
