BERKELEY MAN CHARGED WITH MURDER
Oakland, CA, June 4, 2026 — Today, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced that the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office filed a Murder charge, a violation of Section 187 of the California Penal Code against Damarcus David Jones of Berkeley. In addition, the District Attorney’s Office filed a probation violation based on the new murder charges. These charges arise from an incident that occurred on California Street in the City of Berkeley on May 26, 2026. Berkeley Police investigated and submitted a report to this Office. The case is scheduled for Arraignment on June 5, 2026, at 9:00 AM, in Alameda County Superior Court, Department 112 of the Wiley Manuel Courthouse, in Oakland.####
