Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price Charges Man with Multiple Felonies for Domestic Violence Oakland CA. October 18, 2023 – Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price charged Jose Terra with six felonies, including assault with a deadly weapon, battery with serious bodily injury, kidnapping, false imprisonment, and corporal injury to a partner. Terra was also charged for violating a court order to keep away from the victim, a misdemeanor. Appropriate enhancements were also charged. If convicted on all charges, Jose Terra could serve eight years and eight months in prison. The investigation shows that on August 26, 2023, an in-person meeting between Terra and his estranged partner allegedly turned violent after he accused the victim of cheating on him. In September, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office (ACDAO) was awarded a significant two million dollar grant to fund a new prosecution unit to address the growing issue of Organized Retail Theft (ORT) in the community. DA Price will make an exciting announcement at this introduction event.
