Oakland, CA – Today, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced that the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has filed felony vehicle theft charges against Darryl Jamaal Roach (57) in connection to the June 7, 2026, theft of several Alameda County vehicles from the county garage, located at 165 13th Street in Oakland.
Mr. Roach has been charged with multiple felonies including vehicle theft, possession of stolen property, and illegal possession and use of the personal information of another. The complaint also alleges multiple prior felony convictions for identity theft and burglary.
At the time of this offense, Mr. Roach had been released by the court on his own recognizance in an unrelated, but active, felony case involving the illegal possession of ammunition by a felon.
Darryl Jamaal Roach was arraigned on June 10, 2026, at 2:00 PM in Department 112 of the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland. His next court date is June 12, 2026, at 9:00 AM for entry of plea in the same department.
