
Charges Include Use of Deadly Weapons Sentencing Enhancements

Oakland, CA—Today, District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson announced that the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has filed felony assault charges against Krystal M. Love for the June 22, 2026, attack on police officers and medical personnel responding to the scene of a fire at the 7400 block of International Blvd, in Oakland.
The criminal complaint alleges that Ms. Love set a vehicle and a tree on fire and then attacked the police officers and medical personnel who responded to the scene.
Ms. Love is charged with multiple felonies, including assault and battery on a peace officer, causing injury, and use of a deadly weapon. The complaint also alleges two prior convictions for felony assault and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
“I am grateful to the first responders who quickly suppressed the fire and prevented any further injury to life or property,” DA Jones Dickson expressed.
Krystal M. Love was arraigned at 9:00 AM on June 24, 2026, in Department 112 of the Alameda County Superior Court, in the Wiley Manuel Courthouse in Oakland. The next court date is scheduled in the same department for Attorney & Plea at 9:00 AM on June 26, 2026.
