Charges Include Enhancements for Violent Crimes Against Vulnerable Victims  February 7, 2025 Oakland, CA – Today, the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office charged Fernando Michael Lamson (24) in connection to the armed robberies of two elderly victims, ages 95 and 71 years old, who were returning to a residence in unincorporated Alameda County, after shopping in Oakland when the robberies occurred.Mr. Lamson has been charged with two counts of second-degree robbery. The charges also include a pair of gun enhancements and two additional enhancements for violent crimes on vulnerable defendants, whose disability and condition were known and reasonably should have been known by the defendant, according to the complaint.The criminal complaint alleges that on or about February 5, 2025, Mr. Lamson personally used a firearm, causing the offense to become a serious felony. Hayward Man Charged with Murder and Gun Enhancement Faces 50 Years to Life in Prison

February 5, 2025 Dublin, CA—The Alameda District Attorney’s Office has charged Larry Jose Lopez (43) with murder in connection with the shooting death of Rolando Jose Silva (68). Mr. Lopez is also charged with an enhancement for the alleged use of a firearm causing great bodily injury and death to the victim in this case. The criminal complaint alleges that on or about February 2, 2025, Mr. Lopez, personally and intentionally used a gun to shoot and kill Mr. Silva. The two men have allegedly known each other for approximately 25 years. Jury Delivers Guilty Verdict Against Oscar Arevalo-Boquiax for a Double Stabbing that Killed Father and Son  

January 30, 2025 Dublin, CA – Today, Chief Assistant District Attorney Royl Roberts announced that a jury found Oscar Arevalo-Baquiax (24) guilty of second-degree murder for the death of Rigoberto Perez (49). Mr. Arevalo-Baquiax was also found guilty of second-degree murder for the death of Rigoberto Perez Jr. (22).  The testimony and evidence presented at trial showed that on or about September 24, 2022, Mr. Arevalo-Baquiax and a female friend were attending a birthday party at Mr. Perez’s apartment in Hayward. Witness testimony stated that at about 4:00 AM, a heated argument began between Mr. Arevalo-Baquiax and Mr. Perez Jr. about the female guest Mr. Arevalo-Baquiax brought to the party, and they were both asked to leave. Jury Delivers Guilty Verdict Against Jacobi Gaines for a Violent Crime Spree that Ended in Murder

January 24, 2025 Oakland, CA – Today, Chief Assistant District Attorney Royl Roberts announced that a jury found Jacobi Gaines (23) guilty of first-degree murder for the death of Hassan Humphries (17). Mr. Gaines was also convicted of three counts of gun possession, carjacking, robbery, vehicle theft, and assault with a deadly weapon stemming from a six-week violent crime spree involving multiple victims in Alameda County.
