District Attorney Pamela Price Charges a Man and Woman in San Leandro Skate Park Murder October 18, 2024 OAKLAND, CA —Today, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced that Devin Stevenson (30) is charged with the deadly shooting of a man at a skate park in unincorporated San Leandro. Prosecutors charged Mr. Stevenson with murder, felony unlawful firearm activity, and felony carrying a loaded firearm in public. The second defendant, Ebony Cook (31), is charged with felony accessory to murder after the fact. The criminal complaint alleges that on or about June 15, 2023, Mr. Stevenson shot and killed the victim after they got into a verbal altercation at the skate park adjacent to the REACH Ashland Youth Center. Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price Announces The Fix and Facts for a Backlog of Misdemeanor Cases October 16, 2024 Oakland, CA—Today, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced the fix and facts for a backlog of misdemeanor cases recently reported at the Wiley Manuel Courthouse in Oakland. When DA Price hired Senior Assistant District Attorney Evanthia Pappas as the new branch head at the Family Justice Center in early 2023, the team discovered significant backlogs in domestic violence cases, which pose the highest risk of lethality if left unaddressed as well as U-Visa applications. The new team addressed the problem at the FJC, and since August of this year, the same model used to clear the backlog of these domestic violence cases has been replicated to clear the backlog of misdemeanor cases discovered in July at the Wiley Manuel Courthouse. OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM ALAMEDA COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY PAMELA PRICE Re: Prosecution of Tuan Le Murder Case August 29, 2024 On August 14, 2024, the Court determined that there was insufficient evidence presented to establish that defendant Marquise Cooper is responsible for the murder of Oakland Police Officer Tuan Le. The burglary charges against Mr. Cooper were dismissed without prejudice. It is important for the public to know that the investigation of Officer Le's tragic murder is ongoing, and there is no statute of limitations for murder. Although Mr. Cooper is not currently facing charges in Alameda County, he is being held based on a probation violation from Contra Costa County, and he has not been released from jail. Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price’s Office Joins Judgment Against Tesla, Inc. for Illegal Hazard Waste Disposal at its Service Centers, Energy Centers and Fremont Factory

February 2, 2024 Oakland, CA - Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price joined a statewide coalition of District Attorneys in announcing Tesla, Inc.’s (“Tesla”) agreement to pay $1,500,000 to settle allegations Tesla violated California’s environmental hazardous waste control laws. The settlement also imposes a five-year injunction on Tesla to ensure its future compliance with those laws. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office will receive $312,500 from the agreement. The settlement resolves a nearly six-year investigation into Tesla’s alleged illegal disposal of hazardous waste at its electric car service centers, solar energy centers, and its Alameda County electric vehicle factory in Fremont. Convicted Man to be Sentenced 8 Years in State Prison After Accepting a Plea Deal for Allegations of Human Sex Trafficking in Alameda County  January 29, 2024  Oakland, CA - District Attorney Pamela Price announced that one of her sexual assault prosecution team members secured the conviction of Ricky Levi (31) on a felony charge, human trafficking of an adult.  On January 4, 2024, the defendant accepted an 8-year plea bargain reached by the prosecution and the defense. Mr. Levi is accused of convincing his domestic partner to sell her body for his financial gain.
