January 17, 2025 Dublin, CA—The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office has charged George Green (21) in connection to carjacking and using the victim’s vehicle as a weapon by running her over and injuring the victim in a Fremont parking lot. Mr. Green is charged with one count of carjacking, a second count of assault with a deadly weapon, a third count of leaving the scene of an accident, a fourth count of unlawful driving or taking a vehicle, and a fifth count of receiving stolen property—all felonies. The criminal complaint alleges that on or about November 8, 2024, Mr. Green used force and fear to unlawfully take a motor vehicle that was in the possession of the victim against the victim’s will. Jury Delivers Double Guilty Verdict Against David Misch for the Murders of Jennifer Duey and Michelle Xavier

Misch Faces 50 Years to Live in Prison December 20, 2024 Oakland, CA – Today, Chief Assistant District Attorney Royl Roberts announced that a jury found David Misch (63) guilty of one count of first-degree murder for killing Jennifer Duey and one count of first-degree murder for killing Michelle Xavier. The naked bodies of both women were found in a remote area in the City of Fremont on February 2, 1986. The evidence presented at the trial showed that DNA found under Jennifer Duey’s nails in 2001 belonged to Mr. Misch. In 2003, while serving a life sentence for a murder he committed in December of 1989, Mr. Misch claimed to Fremont Police that he had seen the two young women being kidnapped at gunpoint and tried to save them. Defendant Faces Up to 7 Years in Prison November 4, 2024 Oakland- Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced that a jury returned guilty verdicts against Carlos Gomez-Avalos (31) for the 2023 attack and sexual assault of a female victim. The Jury found Mr. Gomez-Avalos guilty of one count of forced oral copulation and one count of corporal injury on a relationship partner. The evidence presented by prosecutors showed that Mr. Gomez-Avalos attacked the female victim as after she returned home.
