Oakland, CA – Today, DA Pamela Price released the 2023 Annual Report (2023 AR) for the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office. The 2023 AR represents a review of the work conducted during the inaugural year by DA Price and the faithful and dedicated employees of the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.
The report showcases the office’s commitment to justice, victim advocacy, and community engagement. Key highlights include:
- Public Safety by the Numbers: The District Attorney’s Office has seen an increase in action taken on police reports presented to the office, ensuring justice for victims, and holding offenders accountable.
- Victim Support Services: Through partnerships and dedicated programs, the office secured $2,128,286 in compensation for victims of crime while providing improved support and resources, helping them navigate the legal process and rebuild their lives.
- Community Outreach: Engaging with the community is a top priority for DA Price, with initiatives such as educational workshops, outreach events, internships, and collaborations with local organizations the DAO is fostering trust and cooperation in the community.
- Innovative Initiatives: Embracing technology and progressive approaches, the office implemented new programs and technology to better track evidence and child abuse cases. These new technologies are enhancing efficiency, transparency, and accessibility within the Alameda County criminal justice system.
