Man Charged in Domestic Violence Case Faces 14 Years to Life in State Prison

OAKLAND, CA — Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced that Guillermo Renderos (34) is charged with the stabbing attack of his wife while she held their baby in her arms in Castro Valley. Prosecutors charged Mr. Renderos with premeditated attempted murder, corporal injury to a relationship partner, kidnapping, and child abuse and an enhancement for use of a deadly weapon and an enhancement for great bodily injury.
The criminal complaint alleges that on or about October 17, 2024, Mr. Renderos forced his wife and baby into his truck. It is further alleged that Mr. Renderos pulled his wife and baby from the truck and proceeded to beat his wife as she held the baby in her arms. The complaint further alleges that Mr. Renderos then pulled out a sharp object and used it to stab his wife several times.
If convicted and sentenced of all charges, Guillermo Renderos faces 14 years and five months to life in state prison. He is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on November 12, 2024, at 9 AM in Department 115 at the Wiley W. Manuel Courthouse in Oakland.
